1 min read

As I have promised that I will keep you abreast of happening, since the last few days, I, Honourable Councillors of Ojodu LCDA and my team visited families of the deceased; we have also visited various hospitals where those injured students were admitted.

I can assure you that they are all making progress and responding to treatment, some of them have been discharged while few of them are still receiving treatment. Among the few that are receiving medical attention will be discharged before the end of the week.

At Lagos State Accident and Emergency Hospital, one student remaining and expected to be discharged today to join her family.

At Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) two students are still at Ward receiving treatment while the other two are at the Orthopedic section.

At Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) annexe, Gbagada, two students still receiving treatment while the last two are at the Orthopaedic ward.

However, arrangement and expenses has been taken care off by the LCDA for the burial of the two deceased students.

We wish to restate here that we did not record any loss of lives apart from the initial two students that died on the day of the accident.

We’ll continue to be in constant contact with the bereaved families and remember them in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku
Executive Chairman,
Ojodu Local Council Development Area.
