Owo Church Attack: Diaspora Based Social Commentator, Titi Adesina Condemns Vile, Barbaric Attack, Call On FG, Security Agencies To Bring Perpetrators To Book

United Kingdom based Nigerian Social Commentator and the President of Blossom Foundation International Charity organisation, Titi Adesina, has condemned in its entirety, the barbaric attack and killings of Parishioners of St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State.

A saddened, distraught and devastated Adesina described the attack as vile, barbaric, wicked, callous and inhumane, stressing that it was unacceptable.

She faulted the porous, weak and polarized
security architecture of the country as the major cause of this killing.

The Yeye Bewaji of Eposo Remo stressed that the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government, Governor Olarotimi Akeredolu led Ondo State government and Security Agencies need to synergize In bringing the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.

Speaking further, Adesina said that the attack on Parishioners in Owo, Ondo State was the same scenario that played out at St. Phillips Catholic Church, Ozubulu, Anambra State, where At least 11 people were killed in a gun attack on a church.

Over 18 worshippers were said to have been killed with several others wounded.

The Ogun State born Adeshina added that the case shouldn’t be swept under the carpet, urging the FG and Security Agencies to upp the ante in bringing to book the perpetrators of this heinous act.

“The attack is not just barbaric but an affront on the Church of Christ, and we stand in solidarty with the Ondo people at this trying time.

“The perpetrators of this dastardly act should not go unpunished. We call on relevant security agencies in the state to spring into action and ensure that they are brought to book.

“Our leaders need to address this issue and not be business as usual. We all know we are in an election year and they are focused about seeking elective positions at expense of human lives, this won’t be tolerated again.

“We need to value human lives irrespective of regions, tribes, religion, norms and values, but as Nigerians. The Government need to bring the culprits of this terrorist stack to book and bring an end to the spate of insecurity in our nation”.
