Democracy Day: Hon. Olujide Olurankinse Sends Powerful Message to Nigerians

As Nigeria marks Democracy Day, a time to reflect on the nation’s democratic journey and the sacrifices made to uphold the rule of law and civil liberties, Honourable Olujide Olurankinse, a respected stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has extended heartfelt greetings and an inspiring message to the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large.
In his Democracy Day address, Hon. Olurankinse emphasized the importance of unity, good governance, and active citizen participation in the democratic process. He praised the resilience of the Nigerian people and encouraged continued faith in the democratic institutions that safeguard freedom, justice, and national progress.
“Today is not just a celebration it is a solemn reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and grow the democracy that so many have labored and sacrificed for. Our future lies in our hands. We must remain committed to building a more inclusive, prosperous, and accountable Nigeria,” he said.
Hon. Olurankinse, known for his grassroots development efforts and unwavering commitment to public service, also used the occasion to call on leaders at all levels to prioritize transparency, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. He reaffirmed his belief that Nigeria’s democracy, though imperfect, continues to grow stronger through the collective will of its people.
He urged citizens, especially the youth, to stay engaged, informed, and peaceful in their political participation, stressing that true democracy thrives when the voices of the people are heard and respected.
“As we celebrate this milestone, let us remember that the strength of our democracy lies not only in our institutions but in our unity as a people. Together, we can build a Nigeria that works for everyone.”
Hon. Olujide Olurankinse concluded his message by reaffirming his commitment to the ideals of democracy, good governance, and the development of Ondo State.
