Ireayomide, Kendra Crowned Miss Decency Africa 2026 Winners
Adeyemo Ireayomide has emerged winner of Miss Decency Africa 2026 at a colourful event that celebrated modesty, confidence, culture and youth empowerment, with contestants from different African countries showcasing elegance, intelligence and career aspirations.
Speaking after her victory, Ireayomide said her confidence inspired her to participate in the competition. She noted that she loves fashion, enjoys showcasing herself and loves to be seen. She gave appreciation to her mother, manager, father and most importantly, God, for the opportunity.
She revealed that the journey to the crown was not without challenges, especially in the area of marketing, adding that she struggled to secure a photographer and almost gave up during camp activities. Despite the obstacles, she said she remained determined to succeed and spread the message of decency.
According to her, “I am confident, and the goal is to win and preach decency. Even if I am not the queen, nothing will change because other contestants really tried.”
In the Little Miss category, Chantel Princess Adetomiwa encouraged young people to believe in themselves and never lose hope after failure. She said setbacks should not discourage anyone because there will always be another opportunity to succeed.
“I will like to say, you should believe in yourself and when you fail, you will have other chances to win some other time,” she said.
Convener of the pageant, Pastor Mrs. Joychris Onyejuiwa, expressed gratitude to God and all guests who attended the event to celebrate Miss Decency Africa 2026. She also appreciated the sponsors who believed in the vision of the platform and supported its success.
She mentioned some of the sponsors as Checkers Nigeria Limited, C.A.S.E Foundation, King’s Throne of Glory Ministry, GoldenBirdWorld, Aqua Panna Table Water, Almondsprings Schools, Kot Creatives, Frankzee Fashion, Little Miss Decency Top Model 2024, Mobbis Jewelry, Elitops, Liberating Embassy Int’l, Palm Merit Global, Ije Hair Growth, Hanny’s Palace, Gifte Luxe, and other individual supporters who contributed in various ways.
Pastor Mrs. Joychris Onyejuiwa, who also identified herself as an educator and currently the Principal of Almondsprings Schools, and also a Senior Pastor at King’s Throne of Glory Ministry, said her passion is to see young women empowered intellectually, spiritually, morally and financially, despite the current economic realities.
“We do it for the future of the girls. That is the drive,” she said, adding that part of the funding for the programme came from personal resources and goodwill support.
She called on more individuals and organisations to support the initiative, stressing that passion and commitment are necessary for anyone who wants to make positive impact. She disclosed plans to transform the programme into a bi-annual event with better planning and fresh innovations.
Contestants who represented different countries at the event included Olajide Iyanuoluwa Kendra and Adewale Oyindamola representing Miss Decency Africa Ghana, Ndubisi Amarachi representing Kenya, Chigozie Favour representing Ethiopia, Ndubisi Miracle representing Gambia, Ireayomide Adeyemo representing Liberia and Benita Okwuka representing Nigeria.

Also recognised at the event was Jesutofunmi David, winner of Most Beautiful Girl in Iba 2025.
The audience actively supported the contestants and rated their performances during various segments of the competition. Contestants appeared in traditional attire and career outfits, while the Little Miss Decency Africa Ghana contestant dressed as a surgeon.
There was also a question and answer session where contestants demonstrated intelligence and communication skills. In the senior category, participants dressed in career outfits representing their respective countries and explained the professions they chose and the reasons behind their choices.
Okwuka Benita, Miss Decency Africa Nigeria, said she was grateful to everyone who supported her. She admitted that she never expected to go far in the competition but was happy with her achievement.
She said camp activities were challenging but advised others to be bold, strive for success, take risks and dress decently.
Madam Lola Olabanjo, Executive Secretary of Center for Marines of Nigeria and President of Chantel Adetomiwa Special Education Foundation, said her daughter won Little Miss Decency Africa last edition, and the platform gave her exposure and helped her pursue her dreams.
She explained that after the victory, her daughter promised to use the platform to help the less privileged, which led to the creation of the foundation. For that reason, the foundation decided to sponsor this year’s edition of the event.
She described the event set-up as commendable and said it encourages the younger generation to embrace modesty and decency. While commending the turnout, she expressed hope for greater participation next year.
“My advice to the younger ones is to be decent. Your body does not have to be open or naked before people recognise your potential,” she said.
Ndubisi Miracle, representing Gambia, said she finished in fourth position for the cultural attire category. She added that she already saw herself as a winner because of the effort she put into the competition and the confidence she built.
She encouraged others never to hide their talents but to keep working hard.
Adewale Oyindamola said she had been participating in pageants since 2022 and views failure as an opportunity to re-strategize. She advised young people not to give up but to keep trying until they achieve success.
The event ended with appreciation to sponsors, supporters and guests, as organisers promised to continue promoting decency, modesty and empowerment among young women across Africa.
The program came to a wrap with Checkers 3 in 1 Choco Tea distributed to all guests and dignitaries present at the event including the Queens as they were enthusiastic and happy about the product.
