“The Hope We Refuse to Abandon Is Reshaping Nigeria” — Egungbohun

…IBD Dende Congratulates Nigerians at 66, Calls for Collective Commitment to Nation-Building

As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, Oluomo Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, popularly known as IBD Dende, has congratulated Nigerians at home and across the world, describing the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate the resilience of the Nigerian people and renew their commitment to building a better nation.

Oluomo Egungbohun, in his early-morning special greetings to Nigerians on the 66th anniversary, said the occasion was not only an opportunity to commemorate Nigeria’s independence but also a time for citizens to reflect on their individual and collective roles in moving the country towards the development they desire.

“I want to congratulate my fellow Nigerians, our compatriots and all of us who are alive today for our collective endurance, contributions, resilience and patriotism in building our dear country,” Egungbohun said.According to him, the renewed hope being witnessed across the country is a product of Nigerians’ refusal to give up on the possibility of a better Nigeria.

“We are here witnessing renewed hope because we refuse to abandon hope for a prosperous nation. The hope we refuse to abandon is reshaping Nigeria,” he said.

The Chairman of IBD IMPEX LTD also called on Nigerians to recognise their individual responsibilities in the nation-building process, stressing that government and public institutions alone cannot deliver the development and progress the country desires.

“We cannot rely solely on government or public institutions for the development and progress we desire. Every Nigerian has a role to play through honest work, responsible citizenship, respect for one another, service to our communities and a commitment to the common good,” he said.

Egungbohun further urged Nigerians to see the country’s diversity as a potential source of strength rather than division.“May this special occasion of Nigeria at 66 also serve as a reminder that our diversity need not divide us. Rather, it can be a source of strength when harnessed in the pursuit of shared national aspirations,” he said.He called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to the country’s progress, stressing that the future of Nigeria requires the active contribution of its citizens.“Our hope must not die.

We must continue to believe in Nigeria, work for Nigeria and contribute to the Nigeria we desire,” Egungbohun urged.

As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence, the message calls for renewed hope, responsible citizenship and collective participation in building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria.
