Kwara 2027: Rebuilders Back NorthStar Poll, Predict APC Landslide
A pro-democracy group, Kwara Rebuilders, has stated that the results of the poll declared by NU NorthStar Research on the forthcoming elections of Kwara State for 2027 did not come as a surprise.
The group welcomed the poll and noted it is only a confirmation of what has been a common knowledge in the state for all discerning people.

According to the pro-democracy group, the great strides and transformative leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has made the All Progressives Congress (APC) more popular and attractive in the state.
Kwara Rebuilders recalled that the preceding administrations of PDP in the state owed several months of workers’ salaries and pensions, failed to invest adequately in education and healthcare systems, diverted public funds, and perpetrated all sorts of atrocities in the state.
“Since Governor AbdulRazaq assumed office in 2019, we have witnessed a new layer of investments in education, healthcare, workers’ welfare, agriculture, and even social protection. The difference is clear. It is the reason the people again backed the APC in 2023,” Kwara Rebuilders said.
The group further noted that majority of the people of Kwara have no confidence in PDP having experienced the appalling leadership it provided during its stint.
“We even believe the figures are conservative. We are projecting a more commanding victory for Governor AbdulRazaq, APC gubernatorial candidate, Salihu Yakubu Danladi, and other candidates of the ruling party,” it stated.
Kwara Rebuilders urged the electorate in the state to again come out en masse to vote for progress, stability, and sustainability which the APC represents. It warned the PDP that harassment of teachers, women, and the use of thugs to intimidate people will not stop their impending loss in the upcoming election.
The group also noted that pre-election polls are a key feature of democracies across the world, and the result of that of NorthStar is consistent with the reality and feelers in the state.
