Phyna Alleges Dangote Ordered Hospital to Inject Her Sister to Death After ₦20m Compensation
Reality TV star and Big Brother Naija winner, Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has made explosive allegations against Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, and his company, the Dangote Group, following the death of her sister, Ruth Otabor.
Speaking after her sister’s burial, Phyna accused the Dangote Group of foul play, claiming the company may have instructed the hospital to administer a fatal injection to her late sister in order to cut down on treatment expenses.
“My mind is telling me that Dangote’s company told the hospital to inject my sister so that she will die, because they know how much they will spend to treat her. I am ready for them right now. If they like, let them come and arrest me, they will arrest tire,” she declared in a viral outburst.
Phyna also revealed that the company gave her family ₦20 million as compensation, an amount she described as “too small and insulting” considering the magnitude of their loss. She further alleged that her father was pressured into signing a letter drafted by the company without any family input, which she claimed was a move to shield the company from further liabilities.
While the Dangote Group had earlier issued a statement insisting it covered all medical and financial costs and had even planned to fly Ruth abroad for advanced treatment, Phyna maintained that the family bore several expenses themselves, including hospital transfers, which were not reimbursed.
She accused the conglomerate of “calculated negligence and insensitivity,” alleging that representatives of the company also ignored her calls on the day of the burial despite public claims of their support.
The shocking allegation has ignited widespread debate online, with many Nigerians calling for transparency, accountability, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ruth Otabor’s death.
