By Ebere Agozie

Mr Mohammed Ndarani, SAN has commended President Bola Tinubu on the appointment of Imo state Gov. Hope Uzodinma as the Renewed Hope Ambassador and chief political salesman for Tinubu administration’s agenda across the country.

Ndarani who gave the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Abuja described the appointment as a very good step in the right direction.

The learned silk said the appointment came at the right time when Nigerians are yearning for answers and solutions to the barrage of challenges facing the country.

“Government’s claims of successes in economic reforms and infrastructure are overshadowed by severe, widespread challenges such as a cost-of-living crisis, soaring inflation, high unemployment, and persistent insecurity.

“Efforts to highlight the administration’s successes across various sectors, comprising domestic challenges and a difficult global economic climate for the man in the street, are a welcome development.’’

Ndarani, who is also the Grand Patron of the One Nation for Asiwaju Support Group called for collaboration from all and sundry at this challenging time.

“The journey ahead is far and the situation we now find ourselves in affects us all, so let’s come together and proffer solutions, because this is the only country that we call our own.

“I call on, not just the All Progressives Congress leadership at all levels, but all Nigerians in solving the unique challenges facing the country.’’

Ndarani frowned at what he called a disconnect between the leadership and the people.

“The messages about this administration’s reforms should be brokendown in the language that a common man in the street would understand.

“Whether it is short or long term reform, let the people know, let them know the challenges and expected benefits of these reforms.

“I’m glad he has mandated Gov. Uzodinma to go to the grassroots because the people have to be on the same page with the government, otherwise the cycle will continue.

“When messages are passed through the wrong people and channels, there would be a tendency for the distortion or misunderstanding of these messages.”

Ndarani also known as the Hukuncin Nupe and Hukunci Hausa land thanked Tinubu for the special appointment and called for support for the governor to ensure that Nigerians are aware of, and understand, the administration’s achievements.

“Uzodinma is a pillar and one of the spinal cords of the APC achievements in Nigeria, he deserves this appointment and I am optimistic he will do well.’’

NAN recall that the appointment came as the Federal Government prepares to launch its Ward Development Programme nationwide.

The programme is a flagship component of the Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to channel micro-projects, social services and livelihood support directly to Nigeria’s 8,809 electoral wards.

Under the new role, Uzodimma will not only serve as an Ambassador of Hope but also serve as Director-General for party outreach, engagement and mobilization.

As the chair of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, he is expected to ensure harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all levels of the party.
