In addition to the cash reward, each player and official will be conferred with the prestigious Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON)—a national honor recognizing their immense contribution to sports and national pride. President Tinubu also approved one flat each for all players and technical staff.
Head Coach Rena Wakama and her technical team will also receive $50,000 each, further highlighting the administration’s commitment to appreciating teamwork, dedication, and leadership in the sporting sector.
