‘May Allah curse him’ – Islamic cleric rains curses on President Tinubu

A northern Islamic cleric, Mallam Saleh Muhammad Jimeta, has blasted President Bola Tinubu.

In a video on Facebook, Jimeta, who spoke in Hausa, also rained curses on President Tinubu over his recent comment comparing himself to Moses and Nigeria to Egypt.

Jimeta made the remarks while delivering a Friday Khutbah (Islamic sermon) to his congregation in a video making the rounds on Facebook on Sunday.

The cleric said Tinubu’s comment is an insult to Islam and to Allah, adding that anyone who compares himself to Prophet Moses should be cursed.

According to him, Tinubu has no right to compare Nigeria’s situation to Egypt and himself to Moses because Moses was a Prophet of Allah.

“May Allah curse him. How can Tinubu compare himself to Moses? Moses was a Prophet. Who is Tinubu to compare himself to Moses? This is an insult to Islam,” the cleric said.

He called on Nigerians to pray against Tinubu’s government, saying the President has failed to address the hardship in the country and is now making blasphemous statements.

The cleric’s video has gone viral on social media, generating massive reactions, with many Nigerians condemning the cleric for cursing the President, while others supported him.
