Adelabu’s Sister, Twin Children Kidnapped in Ibadan

The younger sister of former Minister of Power and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu, alongside her twin children, has been kidnapped by armed men in Ibadan.
The victims, identified as Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were reportedly abducted around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Challenge area of Ibadan South-West Local Government Area while she was on her way to drop the children at school.
Confirming the incident, Adelabu’s media aide, Femi Awogboro, disclosed that security agencies had been alerted and had already commenced investigations aimed at securing the safe release of the victims and apprehending the perpetrators.
According to the family, Mrs. John-Paul, a former staff member of the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank Pension Custodian, relocated to Ibadan after her retirement last year.
The family expressed deep concern over the incident and appealed to the public to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and support ongoing security efforts with prayers and useful information that could aid the investigation.
Security agencies are yet to provide further details as efforts continue to rescue the victims.
