APC Kicks Off 2027 Campaign: North-West Governors Rally Behind Tinubu
The All Progressives Congress (APC) launched its 2027 presidential campaign in a vibrant ceremony on Saturday in Kaduna, where National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda presented flags to seven sitting governors from the North-West states.
The event, attended by President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, underscored the party’s commitment to unity as it gears up for the upcoming elections.
Among the governors who received flags were Uba Sani (Kaduna), Abba Yusuf (Kano), Dikko Radda (Katsina), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), and Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto).
This ceremony marked a significant milestone in the APC’s efforts to secure a second term for Tinubu.The backdrop of the campaign launch highlighted a challenge for the APC, as Kaduna State had previously voted for the then Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 presidential election.
