Evelyn Joshua Leads SCOAN’s National Intercession at 2025 Thanksgiving Service
The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on Sunday marked its 2025 annual thanksgiving service with an intense session of national prayers, seeking God’s intervention in Nigeria’s security and socio-economic challenges.
The event, held at the church’s headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos, drew thousands of worshippers from within and outside the country. It opened with energetic multilingual praise sessions in Swahili, French, English and Ashanti highlighting the church’s growing global community.
Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Leader of SCOAN and wife of the late founder, Prophet T.B. Joshua, expressed deep gratitude to God for preserving the church and its members throughout the year. She noted that despite national and global uncertainties, testimonies within the ministry continued to affirm the divine mandate upon which it was built.
“We appreciate God for His preservation and faithfulness,” she said, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful. “Our prayer today is for God’s peace, wisdom and mercy upon this nation in these challenging times.”
The congregation also offered intercessory prayers for Nigeria’s unity, stability and development.
Dr. Patrick Kpashagsi, a worshipper from Uganda, described thanksgiving as central to SCOAN’s identity. He applauded Pastor Evelyn Joshua for sustaining the spiritual direction established by Prophet T.B. Joshua.
“Prophet TB Joshua founded this ministry on God’s instruction, and Pastor Evelyn has continued faithfully on that path,” he said. “We are here to thank God for the gift of Jesus Christ. Thanksgiving is our way of surrendering ourselves to Him in appreciation.”
Guest preacher from Tanzania, Stephen Nbasi, urged Christians to deepen their relationship with God through faith, godliness and total submission to Christ, stressing that gratitude and obedience remain foundational to Christian living.
The service ended with special prayers for families, the church and the nation.
