FRSC Warns Nigerians Against Recruitment Scams, Says Jobs Not For Sale
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned Nigerians to beware of fraudsters extorting unsuspecting job seekers with fake promises of employment in the Corps.
The caution was contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, and shared on FRSC’s official social media platforms.
Ogungbemide said the Corps was concerned about the rising activities of impostors — some even posing as FRSC personnel — who deceive applicants with fake call-up letters to training schools and the FRSC Academy in exchange for money.
He stressed that the FRSC recruitment process is transparent and merit-based.
“At no time did the Corps mandate its personnel or representatives to demand money or any gratification from applicants in exchange for employment,” he said.
The Corps urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and to verify information only through its official channels, which include national newspapers, television stations, social media platforms, and its website: www.frsc.gov.ng.
“Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard fraudulent offers and report perpetrators to the nearest FRSC Command or any law enforcement agency,” the statement read.
The Corps reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, fairness, and transparency in all recruitment exercises, warning citizens not to fall prey to scammers who exploit their desperation.
