
The Ladi Adebutu Development Organisation also known as LADO has officially inaugurated Lado Women of Integrity Forum on Tuesday, 29th September, 2020 forum for the emancipation of women in Ogun State.
The event that took place in KAAF Building, Iperu Remo, Ogun State also included a symposium on “Recognition and Involvement of Women in Nigerian Politics” with Akogun kola Onadipe, Mrs. Tayo Agunbiade and Hon. Sunday Solarin as Guest Speakers.
The epoch making event was declared opened by the Chairman, Ladi Adebutu Development Organisation who was also the Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu with dignitaries from different works of life as Special Guests in attendance.
The attendees at the event included members of the Forum and other guests drawn from the three Senatorial districts of Ogun State. The Special Guests that graced the event were Yeye Adenike Adebutu, Hon. Dr. Princess ‘Ronke Ogunremi, Iyalode Mujidat Ogunnaike, Alhaja Mujidat Balogun, Mrs. Remilekun Olusoji, Hon. Mrs. Fatoki and Chief Mrs. Remi Odubote.
While declaring the symposium opened, Hon. Adebutu charged the women to be steadfast in the pursuit of their primary assignment which is aimed at identifying and recognising the role of women in politics. He also encouraged the members of Women of Integrity Forum and all the women of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ogun State Chapter to always participate fully in Politics without any fear which will be valuable to the cause of ensuring good governance, vis-a-vis supporting, voting and installing the right candidates in all elective political offices in Ogun State come 2023.
The Chairman, Hon. Adebutu also expressed happiness towards the brilliant move made by the Forum and promised continuous support for the LADO Women of Integrity Forum.
In appreciation and Recognition of Hon. Adebutus’ tremendous philanthropic gestures and services to the people of Ogun State and Nigeria by extension, he was presented with an award of “the victorious Warrior of the year 2020”.

In her welcome speech, Hon. Dr. Princess ‘Ronke Ogunremi, who also doubles as the President of the Organisation mentioned the roles of women in politics to be coordinating of cells, encouraging fellow women to take part in the political running of Nigeria and Ogun State, as the roles of women cannot be wished away. She also noted that members of the noble group must at all times wear the garb of integrity always and shy away from acts capable of soiling their cloaks in filth.
Delivering a paper, Akogun Kola Onadipe highlighted INFLUENCE as a major factor in politics. He revealed that so many people including friends, acquaintances and indeed foes describes women in politics as set of useless and unworthy set of people, this of course is a mis-interpretation of what the women in politics truly represents.
Furthermore, Mrs. Tayo Agunbiade also spoke about women marginalisation and women being instructed from holding important positions in Nigerian Politics, where they can also contribute their quota by displaying their prowess and expertise. She however advised females to rise up and defend their interest.
