Ndarani awards 11 Scholarships To Niger State Indigenes Up To Post-graduate Level

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mohammed Ndarani has awarded scholarships to 11 students from Niger state in different universities.
Ndarani gave the scholarship awards through his Mohammed Ndarani Humanitarian Foundation when the Council of Students Union Government (SUG) Presidents, Niger state paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
The learned silk who said he has adopted the students as his sons promised to sponsor them to degree and some at post-graduate levels.
He noted that the foundation is a platform for him to give back to the society, making life meaningful for the less privileged at the grassroots and adding value to nation-building which is a collective responsibility.
“Education is key to some of the nation’s challenges. If given the required attention and funding, education would provide the way out of the most of the country’s problems.
“The goal is to assist struggling students in the state and combat declining educational performance across the nation.
“My aim is to encourage our people to acquire education by easing the financial burden on students and parents.
“So, these scholarships are designed to benefit humanity and advance human capital development which will help the state grow.”
The senior lawyer who has provided various forms of scholarships to students across the country noted that there is the need to continue to impact the lives of average Nigerians at the grassroots which is why he is giving back to Nigerians.
In his response, Comr. Baba Shehu, popularly known as ABS, who is also the Chairman of the SUGs said that they were aware of the numerous humanitarian gestures by Mohammed Ndarani Foundation and expressed delight with his philanthropic nature, urging him to maintain the tempo.
“We, the student union presidents from different schools in Niger axis under one umbrella came to present an Icon of Students Transformation and Character Building to the learned silk for his efforts in sustainable socio-economic development of the society and we are going home with scholarships.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this generosity that will not only empower, but will also enable us to empower and uplift others across the country.”
Shehu noted that Ndarani had sponsored his immediate past president to study law in Newgate University, Minna and also donated the sum of N100 million to Niger State students for scholarship which was why they came on the visit.
“Well, all I have to say is Alhamdulillah. What we came for was not what we met here. We only came to appreciate him for what he did for our colleague and he just did the same thing for us here now, ” Shehu added.
The students who promised not to let the SAN down in any capacity they find themselves, added that they will remain good ambassadors of the state.
“As children emulate good characters of their parents, so from now henceforth, he is our father and we promise him that we are not going to let him down but work for humanity.”
The Mohammed Ndarani Humanitarian Foundation targets interventions in agriculture and rural development, education, health, as well as youths and women empowerment.
