Poco Lee Faces London Court Over Assault Allegation

Popular Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is expected to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, over an alleged assault case.

The court confirmed the development in correspondence with a media inquiry on Tuesday, stating that the matter has been listed for plea and trial preparation.

According to the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, the hearing is scheduled for September 15, although the exact time and courtroom will only be made available a day before the proceedings.

The confirmation followed reports that Poco Lee was on remand in the United Kingdom and would appear before the court in connection with allegations against him.

The Founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, had earlier claimed that Poco Lee was in a UK prison and was expected to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in September.

Kuti said he was aware of the development through his regular attendance at court proceedings and involvement in supporting Nigerians facing legal issues in the UK.

He explained that the September hearing would include a plea process, during which the accused would ordinarily indicate whether he was pleading guilty or not guilty.

However, the court’s latest confirmation did not disclose further details about the allegations or the precise circumstances surrounding the case.

The September 15 proceedings are expected to provide further clarity on the case as Poco Lee faces the court over the alleged assault.
Poco Lee remains innocent unless and until proven guilty by a court of law.
