A once blissful marriage that started on a sweet note ended on a rather sour note less than two years into the legal marriage, much to the chagrin and disappointment of the wife Mrs Edukhure Endurance Ebuka.
Mrs Edukhure Endurance’s face and voice cuts a figure of a miserable soul when she was narrating the ugly incident that forced her out of her town and country during a phone video interview with this reporter.
She however disclosed that her husband was such a good and caring husband prior to their marriage and in the first few months of their marriage only for things to go awry when the husband’s family began mounting pressure on her and trying to force the collapse of the marriage on grounds that the marriage couldn’t produce children.
“When I approached my husband to try and find a medical solution to the issue, he had to reveal to me that he is impotent but we should go for IVF as a solution. He also pleaded with me to make it a secret between the two of us as he doesn’t want it to be a public knowledge.” Mrs Ebuka 35, revealed quite forlornly.
The asked why she had to part ways with her hubby in spite of the care , she replied ” I had to publicly inform her family of the development about his impotency. The decision got him so irked and devastated and made him lose his political aspiration at that time and he vowed to wipe off my family using his strong political connection”.
Mrs Edukhure challenged the reporter to make it a duty to contact people from her village and her husband family to corroborate her claims.
Mrs Edukhure Endurance Ebuka burst into tears when she further disclose that her immediate younger brother got missing shortly after and his decomposing body was found near a notable river in their hometown allegedly in Connection to his husband. She also disclosed that her hypertensive father died of cardiac arrest shortly after the discovery of the younger brother’s lifeless body.
Efforts to talk to the husband and his family when this reporter visited the area of the incident proved abortive as no one was available to talk to the reporter.
Phone calls put through to the husbands line were not picked neither did he return the calls as at the time of filing this report.
