Senator Yayi Serenades Gov. Abiodun, Describes Him As A Reformer
The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has described Prince Dapo Abiodun as a performing governor whose strides has transversed across the length and breath of Ogun state.
Senator Yayi said governor Abiodun after leaving office would be remembered for his economic drive and infrastructural development in Ogun state.
The Chairman, Senate Appropriations Committee who specifically identified the Agro-Cargo airport at Iperu and the Dry port at Kajola in Obafemi Owode local government of Ogun State noted that the two capital projects would attract foreign investment and economy benefit to the state.
He also lauded the Governor of Ogun state for making Ogun State a Centre of attraction to business and industry, particularly the drilling of Tongeji Island.
Yayi posited that those projects are noticeable for economic reform and development, thereby attracting more investment to the state.
He spoke on Tuesday at the second edition of his mega empowerment and town hall meeting with his constituents in Ado-Odo-Ota local government.
He said, “the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun is with a difference. It is in the history that Dapo Abiodun will be leaving Ogun state as an econocal viable state in the area of infrastructure.
“The governor ensured economy benefit are attracted to Ogun state one of which is the drilling of oil in Tongeji Island which which is the 13th in the country.
“Dapo Abiodun is working and he is making sure that Ogun state is identified as an oil producing state in Nigeria. I want to thank him for changing the narrative of governance and setting a standard for whoever that will succeed him fill have to buckle up to meet up with that achievement.”
Reeling out his achievements as the senator, Adeola said that the largest project he facilitated is situated in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
He hinted that Ogun State will soon join oil producing states in Nigeria as drilling of crude oil will commence soon at Tongeji Island, located in Ipokia Local Government Area of the state.
Adeola said modalities are being put in place to commence drilling of crude oil at the island on the fringe of the border between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
The senator attributed the feat to the economic reforms by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration and the investors-friendly government of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
He applauded the president for taking the bull by the horn and giving the country’s economy a new direction and praised Governor Abiodun for espousing the infrastructural and socioeconomic development of Ogun State.
