Top Nollywood Stars, Business Moguls Grace Sir Kay Oluwo’s Son Azeez’s Grand Wedding in Lagos

Lagos was agog on Thursday, August 20, 2026, as prominent personalities from the entertainment industry, business community, traditional institution and wider society converged at the White Stone Event Palace, Oregun, Lagos, for the grand traditional wedding ceremony of Azeez Oluwadamilare Arisekola Lamina and Adewunmi Temitope Sarah Ayomikun Awolesi.


The colourful ceremony brought together family members, friends, well-wishers, business associates, traditional rulers, Islamic scholars and notable personalities who gathered to celebrate the union of the Lamina and Awolesi families.


The groom, Azeez Oluwadamilare Arisekola Lamina, is the son of Otunba Kamorudeen Lamina, popularly known as Sir Kay Oluwo, the Chief Executive Officer of Omolamina Global Venture Limited, while the bride, Adewunmi Temitope Sarah Ayomikun Awolesi, hails from the Awolesi family.


The event was marked by traditional glamour, music, cultural displays and an atmosphere of celebration as both families formally sealed the union of their children in the presence of distinguished guests.


Among the notable personalities who graced the occasion was popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dr. Alhaji Hamed Alfilani, while the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, was represented at the ceremony.


The gathering also attracted traditional rulers, including His Royal Majesty, Oba Kazeem Adesina Salami Ilufemiloba I, Osobia, as well as the Paramount Ruler of Makun-Omi Kingdom, Ijebu Waterside, Aare Segun Adebayo.


The presence of prominent Nollywood personalities, business moguls and other respected figures added further colour and glamour to the ceremony, making it one of the notable social events in Lagos.


Speaking on behalf of the Lamina family, the groom’s father, Otunba Kamorudeen Lamina, popularly known as Sir Kay Oluwo, expressed appreciation to everyone who honoured the family with their presence and support.


Sir Kay Oluwo thanked the guests for travelling from different locations to celebrate with his family, praying that God would grant everyone safe journeys back to their respective destinations.


He also prayed for the newlyweds, asking God to bless their marriage with love, peace, understanding, prosperity and enduring happiness.


The ceremony ended on a celebratory note, with both the Lamina and Awolesi families expressing gratitude to God, family members, friends and guests for making the occasion memorable.


The union of Azeez Oluwadamilare Arisekola Lamina and Adewunmi Temitope Sarah Ayomikun Awolesi has since become a major talking point among guests and social circles following the colourful celebration in Lagos.
