VIDEO: Lafarge Truck Kills Two Pregnant Women, Conductor in Lagos Crash

It was a tragic evening in Lagos on April 21, 2026, as a truck reportedly owned by cement company Lafarge Africa Plc killed three people, including two pregnant women, in a fatal accident along the Abule Egba area of the state.
The crash happened at the U-turn on Abule Egba Road during the busy evening period, leaving several other people injured.
A Newsextra reporter who was at the scene described the situation as shocking and painful, with victims seen lying on the road while passersby and residents cried and tried to help.
Eyewitnesses said the truck was heading towards Oshodi when it suddenly developed a fault.
According to one witness, the driver appeared to lose control after a mechanical problem. The truck reportedly swerved to the other side of the road and hit vehicles and pedestrians.
Two pregnant women and the truck conductor died on the spot, while several injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals by good Samaritans before emergency officials arrived.
The accident caused heavy traffic in the Abule Egba axis, as angry residents gathered at the scene, blaming reckless driving and poor maintenance of heavy trucks for the repeated crashes in the area.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and traffic police later arrived to control traffic and restore order.
As of press time, authorities had not released an official statement, but residents are calling for a full investigation and strict action to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
