Wizkid Bags Seven Nominations at 2026 Headies Awards
Afrobeats superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has earned seven nominations at the 18th edition of the Headies Awards.
The organisers announced the nominees for the 2026 edition of the prestigious Nigerian music awards, themed “Africa to the World,” with Wizkid emerging as one of the biggest contenders.
Wizkid received nominations across several major categories, including Song of the Year, Afrobeats Single of the Year, Afrobeats Album of the Year, Best Male Artiste, Digital Artiste of the Year, Producer of the Year and Viewers’ Choice.
His nominations further underline his continued influence on the Afrobeats scene and his standing among Africa’s leading music artistes.
Wizkid’s nominated works include “MMS” and “Jogodo,” both collaborations with fellow Afrobeats star Asake, as well as his album Morayo.
His seven nominations are:

Afrobeats Album of the Year: Morayo Wizkid
Digital Artiste of the Year: Wizkid
