Obasa Drums Support For Hamzat’s Governorship Ambition
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has thrown his weight behind the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, declaring him well-positioned to lead the state to greater heights.
Obasa made this known after receiving Hamzat at his residence in GRA, Ikeja, as part of the deputy governor’s ongoing consultations with leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the Speaker, their meeting was frank and strategic, focusing on the future of Lagos State. He noted that following recent engagements in Abuja, the momentum surrounding Hamzat’s potential governorship bid is becoming increasingly clear.
Obasa expressed confidence in Hamzat’s capacity to sustain and advance the progress of the state, emphasizing the need for continuity, stability, and good governance.
“As Speaker, I will continue to galvanise my political structure and work with like-minded leaders to ensure victory at the polls,” he said.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the APC’s success in Lagos, stressing that the state deserves sustained development and purposeful leadership.
Obasa concluded with optimism, stating that with unity and collective effort, victory for the party remains assured.
